Tour du Port Au Port



Here comes the OTHER tour!

The Tour du Port Au Port is Newfoundland’s penultimate Cycling race, kicking off with a beautiful Bay St George Time Trial, and followed up with an epic roundabout adventure on the Port Au Port peninsula! This race is as gorgeous as it is challenging, with 115k along rolling coastal hills and an expansive seaside vista. Your legs will hurt, but there’s so much scenery to look at you won’t even notice.

This two-stage race has attracted folks from all over the province and the country for years now, and we’d love to see you out as well!

Distances and times are as follows:

Short distance C&D only (approx. 60 km) Long distance A&B (115km)
Long distance C&D (115km) Time trial A&B, C&D (15km)
Date:  Saturday August 23rd, Sunday, August 24th
Athlete Check In:Time Trial Start: 9:00 a.m. Both Days 10:00 a.m. Saturday
Categories C&D 115 km Race Start: 10:00 a.m. Sunday
Categories A&B 115 km Race Start: 11:00 a.m. Sunday
Categories C&D 60 km Race Start: 12:30 p.m. Sunday
Road Race Start/Finish Location: Our Lady Mercy Complex
Banquet: 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady Mercy ComplexPlease confirm attendance prior to event day



As always, this can’t happen without the support of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers.

Here are the duties that need to be filled:


Lead Car, 1-2 ppl

Mechanical float car, 1-2 ppl

2ppl Water Stop

3ppl Mobile Water Stop that will move.
